(cz) Království pokoje je jedinečný a povznášející dokument o lidech, kteří se snaží vytvořit ráj pro zachráněná zvířata z velkochovů, o lidech, kteří tak usilují o rozšíření soucitu na miliardy anonymních, ale cítících bytostí. Vypráví o záchrané stanici, kterou založili manželé Gene a Lorri. Vše začalo když mladý pár objevil opuštěnou ovci, sotva žijící, na hromadě mrtvých zvířat před jatky. Vzali ji domů a pojmenovali Hilda. Film Království pokoje byl veřejnosti poprvé představen v únoru roku 2004. Během 18ti měsíců měl premiéru ve 4 velkých amerických městech a byl promítán na 34 filmových festivalech, kde získal několik ocenění. Představen byl také na mnoha jiných veřejných akcích a tisíce jeho kopií se prodaly po celém světě.

This film follows such notorious cult figures as: Blek Le Rat, Nano 4814, Nuria, Sweet Toof, NoNose, and Eine, as they work upon the pavements of Paris Londonand Madrid During the film we pursue these characters as they create new pieces and discuss the varying approaches to Street Art in these three diverse cities.

The disc also happens to bear the same name as Zinn's seminal piece of multicultural historiography, 1980's A People's History of the United States. The CD sounds like a homecoming between a knife and a whetstone, with Zinn sharpening his critical commentary before an amused and loving audience of lefty college students and professors. Having released plenty of CDs by outspoken radicals such as Mumia Abu-Jamal, Judi Bari and Noam Chomsky, Alternative Tentacles and co-publisher AK Press Audio do a great job of indexing the CD set's 103 minutes. This makes it easier to modulate your intake of Zinn's sardonic warnings about living a critically oriented life.

(en) In the late 1960s, a few free thinkers cobbled together donations, primarily from Hollywood, to buy 80 acres at the end of a dirt road in Siskiyou County, California: Big Bear Ranch, a commune with the motto "free land for free people." Archival footage, photographs, documents and news articles, and interviews with people who lived or still live there tell the commune's history: the cold first winter, women and men doing the same work, communal decision making, emerging environmental politics, free love and family formation, child rearing and memories of growing up there, a late 70's crisis with a cult-like group that moved in, and assessment by those grown old of what Big Bear meant.

Skupina mladých umělců a aktivistů se odstěhuje do odlehlých končin v horách severní Kalifornie, aby tam vytvořila nový svět pod novým heslem Země zdarma pro svobodné lidi, a to včetně volné lásky a společného majetku. Zakladatelé komuny koupí za peníze hollywoodských a rockových hvězd pozemek uprostřed divočiny a vybudují tam nový, drsný domov. Tak se zrodí hippie komuna The Black Bear Ranch. Každý člen komuny má ovšem vlastní představu o tom, co to je svoboda. Realizaci jejich utopického snu zkomplikuje první krutá zima, sledování FBI, nově narozené děti a také sekta, která se snaží zrušit i poslední zbytky klasické rodiny. Dnes tam žije nová skupina mladých lidí. Komuna je první dokumentární film, který se pokouší ukázat, co to na přelomu 60. a 70. let ve skutečnosti znamenalo žít pohromadě. Zkoumá také, jak dopadli lidé, kteří tam kdysi žili, a co se s nimi stalo.
